I’m Sina, a Bremen native and DIY enthusiast with Nigerian and Ghanaian roots. Whether designing, knitting, crocheting, sewing or cooking: I love doing my own thing and designing my world just the way I like it. Cute shapes, warm colors? Right up my ally! Spending hours browsing through wool, needles and yarn, creating new designs? There is nothing I love more.
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve enjoyed crafting. At 12 years old, I had my first creative business with my “business partner”, my best friend Ellie: With a lot of passion and creativity we designed greeting cards that sold surprisingly well in our neighborhood. Was the business model so popular because of our design skills or the nice conversations associated with it? It remains a mystery.
In any case, I’ve kept my passion for homemade things. My first knitting project was a sweater, and working with the needle took my mind off of things, especially after work. Today I put all my energy into my DIY work. I love turning creative thoughts into actual things and I enjoy being fully present in the moment while my busy mind gets a break. What I feel when I knit? Joy, happiness and contentment.
Knitting gives me the opportunity to create exactly those unique pieces that I love. Do you also find homemade things much nicer than the store-bought ones? Then you’ve come to the right place! I want to bring you together, share my passion with you, inspire you with my instructions and designs, stimulate your creativity and show you how great and multifaceted knitting really is.
